"Surprisingly, ApoLLo1ne3hree is more of an ambient affair [...] but all is bathing in a quasi-ethereal sound that kind of reminds me of new Amon Tobin sounds; real moody but definitly some of the most hard hitting drums you ever heard."
"No idea how long it’s been in the making, but the amount of intricate sounds and collection of unearthly samples this guy manages to put together in his tracks is astonishing. With every track at only around 1 minute in length it really is an acquired taste and tracks that require a little more attention and really have to be played at the right moment for full effect."
"The people at Error Broadcast are treating us on this new freshness out of nothing. This is not your average record and you really need to take a deep breath and time, loads of time to get into this but when you do it feels good."
"Some really unique sounds and beats make up a really interesting album (...). We can’t wait to see what the guys come up with next."
"iL's apoLLo1ne3hree EP is one of the most interesting and inspiring works I've heard in a while. Digesting this stuff took some time, but it was definitely worth it!"
"This is a dark and luscious journey, not for the faint of heart (...). Seriously recommend this one."
"apoLLo1ne3hree is what happens when you take an R&B album, break it into seperate R and B components, beat those each one to a static-y pulp, and then put them back together. Seriously, who is this guy. Who cares though, his new release apoLLo1ne3hree is crazy awesome."
"Don’t be fooled into thinking this is merely dissonant sounds, though. The Illinois native shows a mastery of mixing skills, creating lush soundscapes that may not groove in ways you’re used to, but rolls nonetheless."
"Seventeen experimental notes plagued with free rhythms and contrasts in textures that result in a record that’s quite demanding to listen to but also very stimulating, and most of all, it’s a personal effort."
We are excited to host the debut of avant-garde beat scene producer iL. Hailing from the vast plains of Illinois, USA, iL invites you to take a deep dive into his spacious and ultra-violet collage music.
apoLLo1ne3hree is adventurous and the opposite of a comfort listen. Random like shooting stars, beats fly into the black, not following any common metric patterns. Synthesizer textures interfere with twisted vocal samples, once sick, once bitter-sweet and heart-rending. Dub, Hip Hop, Ambient, Soul – you know about these styles but you have not heard iLs mutant combination.
